FUTURE NETWORK PRODUCTIONS, founded in 1989 by Darlene Lewis, is a multifaceted production company. Specializing in television production, web design, music production and casting services. Having first hosted shows in the early eighties with Oliver Richardson (Goldie's Hot Raps & First Exposure), Darlene became casting director then host/producer of On Broadway (Dean Carroll and Darryl Washington were the producers).
Darlene worked as vice president of the City College TV Studio S.A.M.E. along with Presidents, Larry Woods (Bee-Boy TV) and Austin Philips (Straight out of Brooklyn, Paid In Full).
Darlene has produced and hosted shows with Johnny Piu (Sexy Soul Entertainment, GrassRoot Edutainment, Buzz TV with Loren Bates, and Royal Soul Connection Music Expo with Albert Merle.
DVDS include, Return of the Gong Show with BFATS and DJ Luv Bug Starski, Crash Crew members Reggie Reg and Yoda as well as first female soloist Pebblee Poo.
Presently the producer of Celebrity Showcase TV which airs weekly on Channels 56 on Wednesday nights at 630pm and at same time on www.mnn.org clicking on tv 56.
As a former member of the STRAFE produced group YUM YUM, Darlene has written songs with Barry B of the GET FRESH CREW, Donald D Bowden who produced MILIRA, SWV, BFATS, and a host of other artists. The Meows, aka 2 DEEP and recording under the name DL 2. is a duo of young and talented mcs taking over the hiphop industry. Produced by Juss Music and managed by the same lady that put the SWV package together, Miss Vee. The Meow's family of music legacy consist of BFATS (The Whop) and Donald Dee Bowden (mega producer who wrote and produced songs for his artists Milira (Apollo Records/Motown, Aleese Simmons (Capital Records). The Meows have been casted by Darlene Lewis to appear in the movie East Side Story, and their music is featured on the TV show Celebrity Showcase and Royal Soul Music Expo.
